need to know about the Xcel Concessions...
To: All Band/Marching Band
Students and Parents From: Lori Gaertner
Please read this important
information regarding fundraising at the Xcel.
Each worker will be required to accept the terms of this
document.
Working at the Xcel earns each
worker approximately $60.00 for Wild games, and $50.00
for other events. Amounts may vary due to shortages
or if workers are required to work longer than 8
hours. Training dates, work dates, and other Xcel
fundraiser information will be posted on this website.
Training:
You must have gone through
training to be a cashier or sell alcohol. If you
chose not to get trained you will be paid $10.00
less for each event you work, and it may limit your
ability to work. We will get paid for training if
we can get a total of 4 people to work 7 events.
Rules and Regulations:
- Workers must be 18 or older
- Bring a Photo ID every time
you work - if you do not have it you will be sent
home
- You can have other people work
for your account
- Only 2 from each family will
be allowed to go to each event
- We prefer to take fewer vehicles
to keep gas and parking costs down. Each rider should
pay their driver a few dollars for parking and gas
- When you sign in make sure under
group you put Hastings high school music
- If you don’t sign up at
the front door and in the booth you will not get
paid
- If you sign up to work a shift
and don’t show up or call me, you will be
deducted $25.00 (48 hour notice must be given to
the Xcel)
- If you arrive late for your
shift you may get $5.50 an hour or be sent home
- Accepting tips is not allowed
- A $100 re-cleaning charge may
be assessed should the stand not pass inspection
- If an event runs longer than
8 hours you will be paid by the hour ($8.00)
- No personal items in stand.
Bring a locker to lock them up
- Everyone stays until the stand
is clean and the paperwork is approved. The manager
does not get paid more money, everyone gets paid
the same
Managers:
- The more managers we have as
a group, the more versatile we are
- Please let Lori know if interested
in training
Uniform:
- Pants: Pants must be plain black,
ankle length and in “good” shape. Baggy
pants, tight fitting, spandex type materials, tight
fitting skirts, and running pants are not permitted.
No black jeans. $10 may be deducted from your earnings
if you are not wearing appropriate pants
- Shoes: Black, sturdy, closed
toe and closed heel shoes are preferred. You will
be on your feet all night. Make sure shoes are comfortable

will be provided. If you want to wear a shirt underneath
the knit shirt provide, it must be white
