What you need to know about Gertens Plant Sales...

All Band/Marching Band Students From: Heidi Bohlken

Please read this important information regarding our Gertens fundraisers.

What and When:

• We sell plants from Gerten's Greenhouse 1 or 2 times per year
• In March, we offer annual bedding plants and hanging baskets as well as a small selection of perennial plants
• In October on Wind Ensemble trip years only (every 2 years), we offer poinsettias for Christmas
• Exact sale dates will be posted on the Gertens Sale Dates section when they have been deteremined
• We have been doing these plant fundraisers for many years now and they are very successful
• 90% of the earnings go into your band student activity account. 10% go to the Band Boosters

How:

• Once the sale begins, order forms and instructions and color pictures and plant descriptions are available to download from the Gertens Forms section
• You will need to be logged in to get the forms
• Please read the instruction letter carefully as it contains information you need to know
  

Help:

• Many volunteers are needed on delivery day to unload trucks, sort and count plants and sort individual orders
• Every family participating is highly encourage to take the day off of work and help out
• If you have a large order, please consider how hard others have to work for you if you are not there to help out
